And the winner of the best Argan Oil is...........

Elsa-Rene Henderer - Monday, September 09, 2013

Ok so like most hair salon's in Perth and the universe Argan Oil is a hot product and a hot topic. The huge splash Moroccan Oil made in the beauty industry began the avalanche of similar launches from every Tom, Dick and Harry hair product manufacturer in the world and so fierce was the competition it was gloves off as they geared to play dirty.

Walk into any perth hair salon that stocks a competitor of Moroccan Oil and they will spend more time pointing out the flaws of Moroccan Oil than endorsing their own carried line in a desperate bid to navigate you to their lesser and inferior product (my opinion only of course). A tasteless sales method if you ask me and most of you are buying it!

Look i believe each to their own and whatever works for you, I'm not saying other products are not as good i'm just here to clear up the negative press my beloved Oils of choice seem to be receiving of late. So this perth salon chooses to offer 2 elite brands, the previously mentioned Moroccan Oil and the newer SP Luxe Oil and i'm telling you "they rock".

SP Luxe Oil - The Facts

Wella SP Luxe Oil is a luxurious, reconstructive elixir developed to instantly transform hair texture. Enriched with a blend of 3 precious and luxurious oils, Luxe Oil leaves the hair up to 10 times smoother with triple the amount of Keratin protection than a regular conditioning treatment.Argan Oil, often referred to as ‘liquid gold’, is renowned for its nutritive, cosmetic and medicinal qualities on hair, Almond Oil offers superior hydrating and lightweight properties to the hair and Jojoba Oil works wonders on fragile and dry ends.

Using a reconstructive Transform Technology, Luxe Oil benefits the hair from the inside out whilst protecting the natural Keratin. The small molecules of Luxe Oil’s nourishing formula penetrate deeply into the hair to lock in moisture and strengthen from the inner cuticle, whilst the oil forms a protective layer around each individual hair to protect against damage, repairing every strand so even damaged hair is noticeably smoother.

This multi-purpose oil elixir offers 8 amazing uses as it smoothes, softens, protects, defines, illuminates, repairs and reconditions the hair whilst preparing it for colour treatments or styling.

Moroccan Oil - The facts

Moroccanoil® Treatment’s versatile, nourishing and residue-free formula can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool. It blends perfectly with other products and even speeds up drying time.

This treatment for hair completely transforms and repairs as its formula transports lost proteins for strength; fatty acids, omega-3 oils and vitamins for shine; and antioxidants for protection. It absorbs instantly to fill gaps in hair created by heat, styling and environmental damage.

What's the difference?

Basically the Luxe Oil contains Keratin which is a protein so has a better ability to repair and strengthen damaged hair.

We love our choice of Argan Oil but would love to know yours and your experiences. Argan Oil debate open......
